About The Sports Technology Awards
Founded in 2014, the awards are now in their fifth cycle. As with previous years, our panel of industry experts expect to see hundreds of entries, representing dozens of sports from every continent.
Awards categories reflect visionary work across every aspect of the sector, with the winners being presented in London, on May 3rd, in front of an audience consisting of senior industry figures, influencers and athletes.
The awards strive to innovate beyond the ceremony, to this end the organizers introduced the UK’s first sports hackathon, run STA Insights, Sports Technology Power List (the definitive guide to the true visionaries of the sector) and in 2017 introduced the “Sports Tech Talks”.

Why You Should Enter The Awards
Of course you need to make sure you are investing your marketing budget wisely,
so here are just three reasons you should be putting your work forward
- Our judges all volunteer to work with us because they want to know what organizations like yours are doing and we only ask them to look at entries relevant to their areas of expertise. Consequently, they are potential buyers of, or investors in your work so make sure they see what you are doing.
- Shortlistees as well as winners tell us that success in the awards directly converts into tangible business returns. These include reduced sales cycles, quicker inbound investment, improved staffing and elevated client discussions – whatever you want to achieve, having the Sports Technology Awards mark of excellence associated with your brand is a shrewd move.
- Entries start at £245 +VAT (less for selected SMEs) which not only affords you the awards process, you enjoy additional exposure through The Hub video portal, exposure to the awards’ database and digital network, and ad hoc PR opportunities presented by the PR team.
Don't Just Take Our Word For It
I like the range of entrants and that I only get asked to judge something I’m an expert in; additionally the process is both totally independent and online so there’s no skewing of results or favouritism. As for the event itself, it’s nice to have the international athletes there, but it’s the excellent network of top sports-industry nerds people really go for.
I learn a lot from these awards, sports tech is a rapidly changing space and professionally, if you want to compete you need to keep pace.
The Sports Technology Awards play an important role in keeping the sports industry out in front. It’s a great opportunity to learn about what’s coming next and to meet the brilliant people who drive the direction of our industry.

The Sports Technology Awards has benefited Two Circles in many ways. The third-party endorsement has been very valuable to provide confidence to all our stakeholders. The ceremony is very enjoyable and also a great networking opportunity. I can thoroughly recommend these awards to other businesses in the sector.
