2. Collecting Personal Information
2.1. The Organizers may collect, store and use the following types of personal information:
a. Information given to the Organizers when submitting an entry including contact information, a logo, a video, product or service description, use, target, results and background;
b. Information given to the Organizers when registering for the Insights session including, the User’s full name, company name, address, job role, job title, Linkedin, email address and phone number;
c. Information given to the Organizers when booking seats at the event including full names, company names, job titles, email address and dietary requirements of all attendees;
d. Information given to the Organizers when subscribing to its mailing list and newsletter including full name, company and email address;
e. Information relating to any purchases made through the Organizers’ website including full name, credit card numbers, dates and billing address;
f. Information posted by the Organizers to the Tech Hub including the video, name and description;
g. Information about the User’s computer and use of the website including their IP address, geographical location, browser type, operating system, referral source, length of vision, page views and website navigation paths; and
h. Information provided in or in relation to any communication that the User sends to the Organizers.
2.2. The User must have the permission of any third person to share their personal information with the Organizers.
3. Use of Personal Information
3.1. Personal information submitted to the Organizers by the User or third parties will be used for the purposes set out in this policy.
3.2. The Organizers may use the User’s personal information to:
a. Process entries and table booking for the Sports Technology Awards;
b. Provide the User information about other goods and services the Organizers offers;
c. Notify the User of any changes to the Organizers’ service;
d. Supply services purchased through the website;
e. Sent payment reminders and collect payments for services purchased;
f. Send the User a newsletter unless the User has unsubscribed from the mailing list;
g. Deal with enquires or complaints made by or about the User relating to the website;
h. Keep the Organizers’ website secure and prevent fraud; and
i. Provide third parties with statistical information about the website users, entrant and / or event attendees.
4. Disclosing Personal Information
4.1. The Organizers may share your information with selected third parties including but not limited to its business partners, sponsors, suppliers and sub-contractors, if it is required to do so:
a. under any agreement with a third party;
b. in order to comply with any legal obligation;
c. to enforce and apply the Terms and Conditions; and
d. to protect the rights of the Organizers, its customer or others.
4.2. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purpose of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
5. Date Storage
5.2. If the Organizers has provided the User with a password, it is the User’s responsibility to keep this password confidential and not to share it with any third party.
5.3. The transmission of data via the internet is not completely secure. While the Organizers’ will do their best to protect the User’s data, they cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted through the website; and transmission of data is at the User’s own risk. Once the Organizers has received any data from the User, it will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
6.1. The User has the right to ask the Organizers not to process its personal data for marketing purposes. The Organizers will (usually) inform the User that it intends to use its information for such purposes or if the Organizers intends to disclose information to any third party for such purposes. A User can opt out of its information being used for marketing purposes by checking or unchecking relevant boxes or by contacting the Organizers directly.
7. Access to Information
7.1. The Data Protection Act 1998 (Act) gives the User the right to access information held about them. Their right can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access requested may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet the costs of providing the User with details of the information the Organizers holds.
