Owing to the continued growth and success of its business portfolio, today saw several companies and initiatives consolidate under the newly formed The Sports Technology Awards Group brand.

The company, which was originally founded in 2002 with ENS, a sports boutique PR agency, has expanded to include The Sports Technology Awards Ltd as well as the Sports Technology Awards Start Ups, Sports Technology Insights, Sports Technology Talks and an Asia Pacific licenced operation based in Beijing.

Group CEO, Rebecca Hopkins, explained ‘Originally the Yahoo Sports Technology Awards was an ENS-owned event that was intended as an annual celebration. We quickly realized that there was a huge opportunity for us to operate at the sharpest edge of sport, so have created an exciting series of initiatives which reflect the needs of the international sports technology market – all of which adhere to our core values to ‘inform, inspire and celebrate’.’

She added ‘Our growth is testament both to the passion and commitment of the Sports Technology Awards Group team as well as the unstinting support we have been privileged to receive from the ‘suits’ and ‘tracksuits’ of the industry globally. The rebrand provides us with a clear brand platform from which we can create even more great new ventures with sector visionaries, across exciting new territories.’
